Information is Beautiful.
As a holiday gift for a friend in 2014, I created a large map documenting several hundred of the world's best Scuba locations. Using Google Earth, I geolocated and tagged these locations (by hand), and imported them through ArcMap to incorporate the Dymaxion projection and create vectors. The final map was styled in Adobe Acrobat and printed on Arch E size canvas. A cork backing allows pushpins to demarcate locations visited.
Though I am not a Scuba diver myself, I found this endeavor fun and educational.
